After a long walk, hungry and disappointed that Makansutra Glutton Bay was closed that night (not really sure if it was closed for good or they're making some renovations...), me and my friends tried to look for some other restos nearby....
Making our way to Marina Square, as we passed on the other food stalls, the aroma of grilled pork reached my nose which made me more hungry. I stopped for a moment and it feels like I was sent back to my home country like those nights with friends grilling bbQ just outside my house..
Found out it was coming from 'Jang Shou Korean Charcoal BBQ'. We all agreed to try it out..
Ok... The usual... "table for x persons please"... sat down and browse the menu... Hmm... The ambience was nice and the staff was accomodating. Dining here seems to cost the group quite a lot. Dishes seems to be expensive... (browse ..browse on the menu...) oh wow.... it really is costly... hehehe...
When food was being served, I was overwhelmed with the numerous appetizers placed on our table. The waitress said it was included in every main dish you ordered and did they say it is refillable? Darn! I don't remember. We were seated on a long table and it was filled with appetizers from end to end.
The soup was 'Soy bean paste stew' .. tangy, a bit spicy... just nice for a hungry stomach... did I mention they grill/cook the food on your table.
For the main course, we ordered (a)Olive pork ribs with honey and (b) Grilled chicken ribs....
They highly recommend their beef menus but unfortunately it was unavailable that night. =(
still cookin'
The best way to eat these : Get a lettuce leaf (free and included). Fill in with some bbQ meat and veggies in the center. Add chili sauce. Roll it like a chicken wrap.... and voila! Take a bite and finish it off... crunchy... smoky.... spicy... taste sooo goood. You don't even need the rice. I was not able to finish my rice... hehehehe
I suggest you visit this resto when you are eating in group to get the best value for your money... hmmm... Anyway, nevermind the price, it's worth it...
Surely, I will come back for more... C'est delicieux!
