Waan Waan Thai Restaurant

It was the first day of the Christmas in the Tropics '08 - Orchard Light Up (Nov 22,'08). Our first plan was to fill our tummies first but we end up taking snaps as soon as we reached Orchard Road. The colourful display of decors and the enchanting lights caught our attention instantly. After maybe an hour, I can hold my hunger no more so we went to the nearest mall that we saw which is Wisma Atria. We headed to Food Republic and agreed to try a new food stall instead of the usual Japanese cuisine in this area.

Roaming around the food park, we spotted Waan Waan Thai Restaurant and agreed to try the food in this stall. Could be different from the other Thai resto where we used to eat.. hmmmm.. Let's see what they've got..

The first thing I noticed was the nice cozy setting of the resto though the space for tables was small. The prices on the menu is affordable and they have a lot of choices. When dining in a Thai Resto the Phat Thai noodle should always be in your order list. yummy.. hehehe.. others call it Pad Thai..watever! hhehehe..

Mango Salad @ $6.00

Thai Fried Rice Noodle(Phat Thai) @ 5.50

Prawn Cake $2/pc

One thing that I was disappointed about was when I took a bite of the prawn cake, I tasted the parsley leaf, which I really don't like mixed with any of my food. Arrgh! that strong taste stays in the mouth even after drinking a lot of fruit juice..elk!

But overall dining experience, me and Mr.K was satisfied. Take note of the price, it really is affordable. Comparing it to another resto which say for example Thai Express, the Phat Thai Noodle there is $9.90 and mango salad is $6.90 plus GST and service charge... whew!

Food: 8/10
Ambience: 7/10
Value for money: 9/10
