With so many restaurants around, we end up in Jumbo Seafoods Resto. Our first attempt to eat here was last year before he went to New York. But unfortunately, it rained. hehehe.. so we're back and knowing how costly this place was, we don't really plan to eat here often. It's worth a try though..
I am craving for a sweet and sour Soon hock fish but it's not in the menu... how sad. They make other dishes out of that fish like blackpepper, grilled, etc..(I want sweet and sour,sigh!). Mr.K was staring at me blankly as if he was saying, "What's the fuss? We can order other kind of dish."
Mr.K then realized why I was so persistent with the Soon Hock and sweet & sour tandem. It taste great! Now he knows.. hehehe. He ate a lot and by the way he is a vegetarian but eats fish and chicken sometimes.. (err.. half breed vegetarian?? lol.. )
You can also try this sweet 'n sour soon hock dish at Imperial Treasures Restaurant in Suntec near the fountain. Same great taste and cheaper I guess. I don't remember the exact price when we ate there last time..

I can hardly remember why me and Mr.K decided to eat there in Clarke
Quay. I don't remember where we came from that night but he suddenly
says "Let's go to Clarke Quay for dinner". This area is our usual hang
out place. When we were "just friends", we used to sit here on the
stairs near the river for long hours just chatting about anything and
watching the people riding in G-max screaming on the top of their
lungs..wehehehe...

So, with all my guts I told the waiter my special request, he hesitated for a moment and showed us their sweet and sour dish in the menu (but not Soon hock noh). Realizing it is a customer's request he assured me he will try his best if he can ask the chef to cook it for us.. I'm glad they did..yey!
