8 Ideas For Places To Visit This Christmas 2013 In Singapore



Christmas is my favourite time of the year. Now that we are back in Singapore and my baby is old enough to enjoy Christmas., I am on the look out for places that we can go, see and do for our family date. I've gathered some here and will be adding up so don't forget to check back… Also you can inform me if you know one event or place to see this holidays.



1. Christmas Lightup in Orchard Road  - This is held every year with a different theme so this is always in our list. The whole road will be dressed up with lights and christmas decor. There will also be competition for the malls so don't forget to go inside each one to see their stunning Christmas display.  This year the theme will be "Christmas Magic on Orchard Road" . The razzle dazzle begins at Nov 23, 2013. Mark this date in your calendar.

2. Vivo City - Definitely Vivo City mall  at Harbourfront will have again a very big Christmas tree in their rooftop near Marche restaurant. They do this every year and it was nice to stay there to take pictures at night and just to enjoy the breeze. Let your kids play at the water fountains and have a nice dinner after in Marche or King Louis Grill.

Looks like the festive mood at VivoCity has beckoned a family of pandas to celebrate Christmas here! Come show your love for these dear animals, and extend a warm welcome to them.






3. The Danish Christmas Bazaar 2013 at Mount Faber - 

Danish Christmas Bazaar is once again giving us a taste of the best Denmark has to offer at Christmas time. Mark your calendars the last weekend of November and come celebrate with us at the beautiful Danish Seamen's Church at Mounth Faber. After last year's success of more than 1000 guests, this year the Bazaar will once again be for two days  Mount Faber will be exuding Christmas for two days, and you can see and buy Danish design Christmas decorations, Advent wreaths and Advent candles. You can also buy pork for roast and other food items that the Danes simply must have to create their traditional Christmas menu on the 24th of December. The children can also bring their wish list to Santa, who will make the trip all the way from the cold north, to be with us on both days.

4. Christmas by the River 2013 - Singapore River 

SUGARY-SWEET SIGHTS AND SOUNDS ALONG THE RIVER'S BANKS
The Singapore River's three precincts will be adorned with gorgeous Christmas decorations: candy cane-like structures will decorate alternate lamp posts from Robertson Bridge at Robertson Quay, stretching to Cavanagh Bridge at Boat Quay. 



From 15 November - 15 December, the Christmas market will be held at the Read Bridge and along the River Promenade. The market will consist of 30 stalls selling Christmas-themed treats as well as gifts and souvenirs, from participating outlets based in Singapore River.

Every Friday and Saturday, from 15 November to 15 December 2013 from 7pm to 7.30pm, visitors to the Singapore River will also be able to enjoy the melodic vocals of non-profit choral group, EVOKX.

5. Christmas Round the Corner @ Marine Parade

8. Changi Airport  - SpongeBob's Pineapple House

We will be traveling this year-end and I will surely allot 2 hours more in airport before checking in. This will give us enough time to visit  SpongeBob's Pineapple House, the other Christmas display and other activities in Changi. Check here for more details.
