Today we ate our lunch a bit late so we are still full by dinner time. At around 10pm we felt hungry and decided to visit the nearby Jalan Kayu road and eat in one of the restaurants there. Most stores and food junctions are still open until early morning. This is the same street where you can find
Jerry's BBQ and Grill.
We saw one restaurant which offers Indonesian, Malay and Indian cuisine.
Thohirah Restaurant. My hubby was craving for Indian food and for me, I want to eat satay. We decided to eat there so that we both can enjoy the food and satisfy our cravings. The place was crowded and the staff took time to take our order. The food was served at almost midnight.

Paper Dosai |

I'm always fascinated on how they make this paper dosa soooo thin... |

Tandoori Chicken |

Plain pratha |

Chicken Satay with peanut sauce
(one of the best satay I've tasted.. It's all in the peanut sauce… ) |
|
BBQ Sotong (squid)
I ate this with plain rice. |
Getting there: It is only 5 minutes from our house to Jalan Kayu so we always go there by cab. We don't see much buses passing the road. Until today, we discovered that Thanggam LRT station was just 5 mins walk away. Yey!
Dining Tip: If you eat inside the air conditioned room, the prices are much higher by 50 cents to $1 per dish.
I love the food. Simple, affordable and yet tasty. No wonder it is always crowded at Thohirah.
