Patong Beach, Patong Seafood Restaurant and Bangla Road

4D/3N Phuket Getaway Series

We reach the Patong Beach at around 8PM and it was already dark. We just stayed there for a while and headed straight out across the street to check on the array of restaurants for dinner.

Still not over  with the Sampan dinner that we had in Indonesia, I wanted to eat seafood. We decided to try Patong Seafood as it looks like good and inviting based on the number of customers inside the resto at that time.

Aside from the fresh display of lobsters and prawns just in front of the resto, the "No Tax No Service Charge" Sign convinced us more to dine here.

The first thing I searched in their menu was the Thai Mango Salad and I was disappointed because they don't have it. It's funny why I don't get this salad anywhere here in Phuket throughout our stay.

Mixed Vegetables in Oyster sauce

Pineapple Fried Rice

Grilled fish

Grilled Squid (Sotong)

Garlic prawn (taken from the one displayed in front of the resto)

The food was yummy but not that great...Maybe because I'm still comparing it with the one I had in Sampan (Indonesia). If you ask me the price I really don't remember but I assure you it is in the normal range and is within my budget. Otherwise I will be the first one to leave if the dishes are too expensive. It is our habit to check the menu first and the prices before dining in any restaurant.

Uncle sitting outside the resto selling toy snakes and insects.Creepy icky toys! Looks real..

After dinner we headed out to Bangla Road, the street just right at the corner of the restaurant. We heard from the cab driver that it was quite popular for tourist and we are out to discover. The street was crowded with foreigners young and old alike. As we get into the middle of the road we saw some more restaurants, souvenir shops, night clubs, bars and those "pretty" lady boys calling in for customers in their grand outfit (wasn't able to take photo).  When you look up , the second level of the bars were open and you can see girls dancing around poles in their sexy outfits. We are in a Red Light district!.. (panic panic).. I felt awkward tugging along my baby with us but as you look around there are kids too walking with their parents.

We saw this uncle in the middle of the road doing his magic tricks. He makes his cigarette float from his hand but seriously I can see the nylon string attached to it.. hehehe..

Wait, is that Starbucks?.. yey!

We ended up staying in Starbucks for sometime and get my potion.. It was freezing cold inside and the glass wall were super moist already as you can see in the picture. After some time, we went back to the resort. Too tired from the flight, we slept early.
