Today, we've got the opportunity to take a peek on the newly constructed Terminal 4 in Changi Airport.  The terminal was not yet fully operational  but we had a good overview of what it would be when it opens.

Singapore Christmas Events 2014

It's that time of the year again. My baby Ish is so excited for Christmas because it will be the first time that she will receive a gift from Santa. She's been waiting patiently for the day that we are putting up our tree, writing her first letter to Santa and opening her gifts on Christmas morning.

Aside from these activities at home, I will also bring the family to different events celebrating this joyous occasion. I've consolidated interesting places to visit this holiday season which is good for families and singles alike. Do check back because I will keep on adding events here.

The Light-Up Period is from Saturday 15 November 2014 – Thursday 1 January 2015 and will take place at the following times of the day:
- 6.30 pm to 6.00 am on Christmas Eve and both New Year’s Eves;
- 6.30 pm to 2.00 am on Fridays and Saturdays;
- Except as stated above, 6.30 pm to 12.00 midnight on Mondays to Thursdays and on Sundays.

Trick or Treat in Singapore and Other Halloween Events For Kids 2014

Halloween is just around the corner. This year my baby is ready for Trick or Treat-ing.. It's her first time and mine too. I'm uber excited with the thought of dressing her up and seeing her having fun getting candies and chocolates. I hope that she will not get scared with the decors and costumes on the places that I'm gonna take her. I hope there will be NO tantrums and backing out at the last minute (cross fingers).

I've listed here some of the events that you can bring your kids for a spooky good time. It's actually for my own use but thought of sharing it with you my dear readers.

I've consolidated a list of events in 2014 that I find interesting. Quality family time is important for me so I always want to bring them outdoors or out of the house, have some fun and explore whenever we can.

Christmas Wonderland at City Square Mall (Photoblog)

Yesterday night we went to City Square Mall to explore, we took some snaps and enjoyed what the mall has to offer for Christmas.

I would like to share with you our experience through pictures..   ;)

List of Malls with Character Themes For Christmas 2013

Lately my baby can already recognize Barney and the Minions while watching in YouTube. Whenever she sees those yellow cute creatures in the supermarket or in character stores, she will point and scream out "banana". She adapted it from their song "Banana" and it is easier for her to say than "Minions".

Now that it is Christmas season, it is the perfect time to bring out my 1-yr old for some holiday fun.  I am on the lookout for any interesting activities and shows specifically with Barney and the Minions and I wanted to know the other happenings this year in every mall.

Aside from the places listed in my previous article which we planned to visit, I also wanted to explore the shopping centers. I consolidated here the different malls with character themes or activities around Singapore. Thanks to the list of all the malls I found online, I was able to search faster. This is to help parents to know where to bring their kids and in which dates their child's  favorite characters will be having a Live show or a Meet and Greet session.

SALE and Bazaars - Oct/Nov 2010

As a wise shopper, I constantly search on the internet for sale and bazaars. I am a spender, and a shop-a-holic but I don't buy branded stuff unless it is on SALE. Even if it is just $10 or Php100 off, I am already overwhelmed by the "good buy".

Same feeling when I got my Dior shades for $100 off and my Guess watch for 50% off.
Who wouldn't be happy for owning a glittering watch and paying just half the price of it? Heaven!

So here's the list of upcoming Sales in the METRO. This is my personal list which I consolidated for myself and then share with you fashionistas and frugal shoppers.. I got these from the official web site of the super malls... Enjoy!

The Cacao Show - tallest chocolate sculpture

Visited the Guiness World Record holder - The tallest chocolate sculpture standing at 7.27 m high at 1000kg and 100% chocolate. Showcased in Atrium of the Centerpoint Mall till Dec 8, 2008.

 

Christmas in the Tropics 2008

Every year Orchard Road will dress up for Christmas. This year's theme was Sweet Christmas and when it comes to sweets what else can you think of, sugar cane candies and lots and lots of candies.
With giant christmas trees and lots of different coloured lights, each shopping mall will decorate uniquely to attract shoppers. Wow! Great Sale is on..hehehe..

This event does not attract only shopaholics but also tourists. Everywhere you can see people carrying their P&S or DSLRs taking snaps and striking a pose in every single corner of Orchard Road.

What's so special about this event? Well, it will be my first Christmas with Mr.K and this Light-up is the start of our celebration... wehehehe.. say cheese!

The Food Safari

Asia's First Food Safari was held in Singapore Convention Hall 402-403 last Nov14-16, 2008. This was the first event me and Mr. K went to after he arrived in Singapore. We missed the Teddy Bear Show, but that was purposely skipped to let Mr. K rest and recharge from his long journey.
