Home Makeover Part 3 - Toilet and Bathroom

The size of the toilet and bathroom in flats that are located in an old estate is smaller compared to the new ones. It is quite a challenge to design it to make it look posh and at the same time not too overcrowded. I have lived in different areas in Sengkang, I have seen houses up North. The toilet floor area were almost 50% bigger.

ID mode on.

Jan 23 - Selection of tiles. Just like the kitchen, I picked neutral colors for the toilet.  The common toilet will be very simple but the one in the master's bedroom should look like I am showering on vacation. Hehehe.. To make it look like a resort style, we added a brick-like tiles in the shower area. The tiles were very tricky to match and our contractor helped us on picking and matching the tiles. At the end of the reno,  all the unused tiles will be sent back to the supplier and will be deducted from our total bill. What a relief! Yey, a few hundred bucks saved to purchase other bathroom accessories.

Jan 25 onwards - Start of hacking and skimming works. I am always grossed out with old toilets so I am not posting the "Before" photos here. I will post it after the renovation is done.
